Je voudrais jouer au tennis.

One of the very few phrases of French I can remember, and I used to be pretty good at it. I had the accent down and everything. Alas, I'm a quitter.

Well, today I went shopping with Rachel, and our first stop was Academy. As it turns out, the first thing I saw were the tennis and racquetball racquets/rackets. I don't know how many people I mentioned it to, I'm pretty sure I said something to Kat... but I've been meaning to take up Tennis for about a year now. I've decided that I could easily do it this summer. Of course, I need people to play with me, preferrably people that know the game, but won't annihilate me when we play. My sister volunteered to do it with me. Well, when I say "volunteer" I mean said "Okay, whatever," when I told her that she was going to take up tennis with me so I had an easy opponent. That means that I expect you to be bad at it, Rachel. Obviously, I'll completely own at it, since I play Mario Tennis so often, and, as we all know, video games are exactly like real life. So if you're ever in the mood to be totally slaughtered at tennis, give me a call. Also... I'm goin to need you to tell me whether or not the courts at Brazoswood and LJI are open to the public, mk? That would be greaaaaaaat.

Whoa. You know when you put the mouse on the thing to make a comment and it makes a white hand thingy? Well, I swear it just flicked me off.

Anyway, TRAVIS HAS MARIO TENNIS!!! And that's MY game that I paid for with MY money! That hoser! Julie, did Travis actually take it?! AHHHHHH! I need that game!! I can play it AND Perfect Dark. Darn him...

Duh video games are exactly like real life!! Remember what I told Mom when she asked why I liked to play Perfect Dark? "*big grin* Because I like killing people, Mom. With guns. I like the sight of blood." It was something like that. I should really be in bed, but I'm not tired...

BW and LJI are open to the public except during tournaments, which are posted on every enterance into the courts, and take place in the fall and spring. Also, there are the Jasmine hall courts, which rank up there with LJI (gettolicious), and the BC courts *love*, completed like last year.

I'll play with you. I've got other outlets for serious play, so I'll go easy on you. Otherwise, you could convince my sister, she knows the rules, but hates the game.

I'm pretty sure you mentioned wanting to take up tennis some time previously on this blog. It seems as though it was when I first started reading it, though I couldn't tell you when that was.
I'll gladly play Tennis with you, then you can have the satisfaction of thoroughly trouncing a *Boy* and we all know how much more That means than beating a mere XX-er (that's "a girl" for anyone for whom bio was far too long ago to remember). Kat has covered the status of open courts. Additionally, however, are the MacLean courts that we know are open because we played One-bounce-volley ball there on kickball day.
My uncle is Head women's tennis coach at Rice, so if you ever get serious... he gives private lessons and all.
