I do so achieve.

I went and talked to the Geek Squad at Best Buy here in College Station and they said that I can just bring in my computer tomorrow (Friday) and they'll fix it for me. They didn't say how long it would take, but I'm hoping not all that long. I mean, I can live without it, but I just bought some new CDs today and I want to be able to, you know, actually listen to them. I didn't bring my CD player up here with me because I was like, "I have an iPod, now", but as it turns out, perhaps bringing the CD player would have been for the best. Anywho, I'm just saying that I won't be online for uh... an undetermined amount of time. But my schedule for the weekend is as follows: watch movies... and sleep... and think about homework but sleep instead. If you want to get ahold of me, just call my cell phone. If you don't know it, then, well, there may be a reason for that. And that reason would probably be either A) I don't know you, or B) You never asked.

Feel sorry for me.

No, not really. I don't like people feeling sorry for me. Anyway, this weekend did not go as planned at all, and I only have about 2 hours left of what I would consider my weekend. That's right, Monday until about 1:00 counts. In your faces. Anyway, I'm not going to go into huge detail about it, but if you're curious you can just ask me. Basically, the elements and I had some bonding time. Specifically, the cold and drizzle, and two and a half hours worth of bonding time. It was horrible. Kaela says crying is good for your skin, and if that's so, then I should be glowing for the next couple of days. The CARPOOL thing went really well, except that it took 2 hours more than it was supposed to. I'm excited about it, and I think that I'm going to work sometime this weekend. Probably Thursday. I bought a new computer last Saturday but the disk drives don't work. It's awful. I was going to get it fixed this weekend, but, as I said, nothing went as planned this weekend. Without the drives functioning, I can't install my iTunes, my Kodak EasyShare, or my new webcam software, and those are just the important ones. I also want to put all of my music on this thing, so I can put more on my iPod, but with the drives not working... I asked about 5 different people for help, and none of their suggestions worked. Thanks anyway, guys. There's no way I'm paying for them to fix this, and I have to get it to them by this Saturday, because I have a 14-day warranty period during which if there's anything wrong with it I can just bring it in and they'll fix it for free. If I had a car, it would be done already. Today at 3:00 I'm going to some informational thing about a summer work program. Supposedly, people in the program make an average of $8,000 over the summer. If I could make that kind of money, then I could buy a car, and my torment of always having to bum rides off of people would be over. Then again, I wanted to take some summer classes at BC, and if I do this program, I may not be able to take those classes. We'll see. This is just an informational. But I do need a car...

So I went and bought an iPod yesterday, and after an entire 24 hours of struggle, I've finally figured out where I went wrong and I've loaded all my music onto it, minus some of my CDs. Now the problem lies in the fact that I have freakishly small ears and the iPod headphones don't fit in them. All I can do is like, set them in there ever-so-carefully and try not to move my head too much so they'll stay in there long enough to listen to a song or two. Officially, the first song I listened to on my iPod was "You're So Last Summer" by Taking Back Sunday on the Tell All Your Friends CD. Oh yes. I so went there. And again, the headphones are falling out. I can feel them slipping... oh yeah, there goes the right one. Sigh. I still have $21 of Target gift certificateness so I could go there and buy some better headphones. Sure, I'll look like a dork, but I'll be able to ignore the strange looks while actually listening to what I spent $300 on. Now this way when I go places, I don't have to carry 20,000 CDs in case I randomly feel like listening to one of them.

Wha?!

Instead of going to bed at a reasonable hour, I sit on the computer and do random things like google objects near me, and tonight I went to imdb.com and looked up all the movies that I own. Aaaaaaaaaaaand... when I tried Jurassic Park (linked, in case you're not as cool as I am), I scrolled down a little bit before clicking on it and I found this: Uhh...

At long last.

A while ago I got really really bored and made an anti-AIM facebook group with the worst title in the world that I won't bother you with, but I had also been working on the picture for the group, and up until this morning (at like 3) it wasn't finished, but it is now complete! I'm actually very proud of it, especially since I had to do it all in Paint. Anyway, it's 1:40 in the morning, and I swear I thought it wasn't near that late. Go figure. I guess I'll go to bed soonish. That's all.

As if you didn't see it coming.

The Ranch was okay. Not as bad as I expected activity-wise, but that's mostly because I can always keep myself occupied by knitting and reading, and now that I have a book (a good book) that claims it can teach me to play the guitar, I shouldn't have trouble filling in the gaps in College Station. On a sad, sad note - Last night I actually spent about 30 minutes at Wal-Mart picking out cat collars as a Christmas gift to Andy, Callie, John Paul, Saavik, and Angel. If that's not a sad prelude to the rest of my cat-lady life, I don't know what is.
