Back from the FC

Yes, I've been brainwashed. "Past the point of no return; no going back now. Our passion-play has now at last begun." I'll leave your fickle minds to wonder about the origin of those words. I at least expect Tipti to know. Moving on... I'm back from Fish Camp '05. My Aggie spirit is alive. Light the path; make it shine, fightin Class of '09. Dear Lord, what have they done to me? I officially have 5 full days to pack and prepare for moving in, and 13 days to prepare for the beginning of classes. I might want to also consider payment for those classes. That could come in handy. Regardless, I'm an Aggie now, and, at least as I've been told, I always will be no matter what. Before Fish Camp I wasn't sure that A&M was really for me, but I met so many new people, and all around friendly-like folk, so I expect my experience to be a positive one while I'm at A&M. Word came from Panhellenic, and it looks as though I'll be going through Rush. I don't really know my stance on Sorority life for me, but if I don't try it, how will I know whether or not I would like it? In high school there were a few things that I wished I had tried out, particularly Scholastic Bowl. A few people that were in it told me I'd have a good time and I should come try it out at some point, but I never did, and now I regret it. I don't want to avoid going through Rush simply because I don't know very much about it. That's a poor reason to disembark now, and I know I'd regret not taking advantage of the opportunity to test the waters out later down the road (or the river, whichever cliche metaphor you prefer)... (I suppose river could work best since I used the term "disembark", which is often used in reference to boats, and "water" which is, well, I think that goes without explanation, but I digress). Point being, I'm going to do it. Therefore, I'll be moving in on the 21st. My roommate seems really nice, too. She and I have a lot of the same interests, and now that I know I'll be living next to Rachel and Ashley, I won't really have to worry too much about how well we get along. I can always walk next door to talk to some people that truly love me. I'd go visit Rachel and Ashley sometimes, too.

Alriiiight! Julie got two anonymous people. Welcome, anonymous people.
"Welcome to our humble home."
"You live here?"
"We live wherever we want."

*cough*

I think it's "abode" and not "home". Doofus. Surprisingly, these two anonymous people actually had good things to say. Usually it's rude and directed toward me...

Well, with my hearing impairment, it's "home."
