Gone with the Suburban

It's happened. I've gone to college. There were many doubters, but I've done it. My roommate seems really nice and so do my suitemates. I think everything will be just fine as soon as I get my own computer. My roommate is letting me borrow hers right now, which is the only reason why I'm able to blog. Granted, I didn't get any sleep last night, but at least I'm here and pretty much ready. Another problem is the fact that I seem to have misplaced my student ID card, and am therefore prevented from charging everything from the vending machines to my mommy and daddy. I'm running out of cash after buying donuts for the family this morning. Though the room is small, I think we can make good use of the space. Cristen and I plan on stealing Ashley and Rachel's dorm design. They've been able to allow more space by stacking tables and such, and goodness knows we're not going to be bothered with the inability to fill the space in here. I'm really excited about everything, and I think it's going to be a good year. Now all I have to do is keep myself from slacking off. I guess I better get back to unpacking. Besides, I feel king of guilty using her computer. Peace out.

Hey, Julie:
Mr. Weiss mentioned to us today about a field trip that he's gone on every year except last year (I think). It's to COLLEGE STATION on SEPTEMBER 12TH for some thing that I can't remember what it is, but it's a Monday. He said you're invited if you want to come, since we'll be ON CAMPUS. He said you can even eat with us, I believe. Would you like to do that? I would LOVE you to do that. It's not guaranteed that we're going, but it's pretty sure. It'd be the day before your birthday, so I could bring your presents from home and stuff if you came. I don't know if you'd really be able to because you might have class, but you're still welcome! DO WHAT YOU CAN!!!

Mom seems to be dealing alright with you being gone. The electricity went out at the house while I was at school yesterday and has been out for over twenty-four hours. We ate pizza and played Scrabble in the dark. I got 34 points, using only two letters. Hehe. We packed up our stuff and spent the night at the bay house. Wahoo! As far as I know, the electricity is indeed STILL out; I'm at the office and using Mom's computer right now while she's at Office Max getting printer cartridges...

Take care, and GOOD LUCK IN RUSH!!! We're praying for you.
